Chantal Enriquez

Born in Taos, New Mexico, Chantal is a contemporary artist whose work is deeply informed by the landscape and atmosphere of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, where she lives and works. With over eight years of dedicated painting practice, she has developed a visual language rooted in observation, material exploration, and a profound connection to place.

Working across oil, acrylic, ink, and charcoal, Chantal focuses on natural subjects including landscapes, florals, and still life. Her practice examines the nuanced interplay of color, texture, and contrast, using these elements to subtly shift mood and perception within familiar forms.

Her work is driven by an interest in capturing the transient qualities of light and movement, translating the rhythms of the natural world into layered, expressive compositions. Through this approach, Chantal creates pieces that evoke both immediacy and contemplation, reflecting a deep reverence for the forms and forces of nature.
